“The key to recovery from grief is action, not time”

John W James & Russel Friedman,
Founder of The Grief Recovery Method®

Are you struggling with a pain you can’t put into words?
Grief often lingers quietly, shaping our days in ways we don’t always notice

Many people do not realize that their struggles in life are connected to grief. Sometimes, the grief stems from losing trust, a sense of safety, or an important expectation that was never fulfilled. In other cases, it may come from unresolved grief surrounding painful family dynamics or emotionally significant experiences.

The Grief Recovery Method® has been helping people heal after loss for over 30 years.
It is not only for those facing death or divorce, it supports people through more than 40 kinds of losses. These include obvious life changes, like losing a job or moving, as well as more subtle ones, such as the loss of trust, security, or a sense of safety.
You are not alone.

What is Grief?

Grief is the natural and normal human reaction to loss.
It is the sum of all the often profoundly conflicting emotions caused by a major change or the disruption of the order we had previously become accustomed to in our lives.

The Grief Recovery Method®

The Grief Recovery Method® is an action-based program developed in the United States by John W. James and Russell Friedman.
Their method, as described and taught, enables the effective emotional processing of losses.
Processed grief allows us to remember the lost relationship and cherish beautiful memories without feelings of guilt, remorse, or pain. Instead of constantly dwelling on the past or fearing the future, we can fully experience our present life and relationships. This approach to grief processing can also be applied to alleviating pain or conflict caused by current, ongoing relationships.
Every grief is unique, because every person is unique, and every human relationship is different.

Does Grief Recovery Method replace psychological or medical help?

NO! Grief Recovery Method offers self-awareness and emotional support, but it does not replace professional care provided by a psychologist or medical doctor. In cases of more serious mental health or medical issues, it is strongly recommended to seek help from a qualified professional.

My Approach

In all of my sessions, I create a safe, held space for you to share your emotional truth.
I will listen like a heart with ears, without judgement, criticism or analysis.
It is ok to not be ok.
Ready to Begin?

"Grief is about a broken heart, not a broken brain. All efforts to heal the heart with the head fail because the head is the wrong tool for the job. Its like trying to paint with a hammer, it only makes a mess"

"“Recovery means feeling better. Recovery means claiming your circumstances instead of your circumstances claiming you and your happiness. Recovery is finding new meaning for living, without the fear of being hurt again"

“Death is never a singular event”

“Forgiveness is giving up the hope of a different or better yesterday”

“Trauma is often grief that has been frozen in time”
